The Big  MotoMutt Trip......

Well, a bunch of us, led by Craig Erickson (not Leif)  decided to head for the Field Museum to see the  Art of the Motorcycle exhibit and attend the big Cycle World show in Rosemont (Chicago).  Some trickled (slowly) down by train, some jetted their way , while others relied on four wheels ( and sometimes some roofing nails) for locomotion to the above events.

All I can say is that if you were not among us, you missed a great time!

We DOMINATED downtown Chicago!  They are still talking about those wild Minnesotans......

Saturday evening was our exclusive little soire' at the Field...

We had wine, cheese, finger food (just like mommy and daddy), and topped it all off with some very special  cookies made with a tank emblem from a Norton Atlas by our good Chicago Norton buddies  Tina and Bob Marin.  These two are great hosts.  They know the town!  Hopefully, they'll allow us the opportunity to reciprocate at some point.....  We took a group picture on the grand stairway, and had a prize drawing.

After the eats, we got to peruse the exhibit without being jostled by the crowd.   It is truly a spiritual experience to sit alone with a Britton or the Cyclone...  If you don't recognize the names, too bad!   You can buy the catalogue (truly amazing) for about $45.  We only set the proximity alarms off about 30 times during our visit, and only had one episode where a guard had to subdue a Mutt.....

Later, after being gently removed, the group removed to the SSEX INN..... where the party continued.  Certain wiry dirt-track racers became airborn in a melee with certain tall vocal TCNOC dignitaries.  Following this, the group splintered into various New Wave, Zaideco, and Blues crowds wondering the wet streets of the city.....

Sunday A.M. found us trickling into a coffee shop on the main drag (forgive me for forgetting the name, but my head hurt....) where we were variously abused by local waitrons.  The remainder of the day was spent clawing our way back to the slightly more frozen North....

There were lots of incriminating pictures taken and I'm sure we'll add them to the web-page soon....  Send them to us at Advo@Cloudnet.com or bring to the meeting and give them to the Dictator for Life.....
