Jack helped start the club. He's not dead, but we memorialize his garage . We used to meet the coldest night of the winter around a 55 gallon drum bonfire and a keg in his garage. Neighbors and Jack's wife complained about all the yellow snow in the neighborhood the next morning Now we hold it at at some interesting place, where we commonly will witness the rebirth of some ancient engine (ie: ww2 tank, aircraft, etc.) or have other great activities.

We lost our planned party space, and have now rescheduled the WINTER party for May 8th at Bullseye Cycle in Excelsior (right near the McDonalds on hiway 7) late afternoon, early evening. Pot luck. Bring something for show and tell!

We had a great time, with Lucy's band, over at Diamond's "back room"!
2002
The party, hosted this year by Logan and Gabrielle at Logan's lovely Archway designs studio. It had just the right ambience for the gearhead social event of the winter season, motor-bike motif with motorcycles literally hanging from the rafters. Many brought a delightful array of victuals including a savory venison stew and a piquant coctail wienee medley. Our namesake senoir statesman Jack Schally and other gear-headed notables attended. Mr. S. Gray provided an insightful slide show offering and on video, we learned how to repair bullet holes in the nose cowling of a Lockeed P-38. For the musically minded, there was Steve's band across the venue, playing a mixed assortment of new and old favorites, accompanied at times by your own dictator with varied success. The technical afficionados were challenged by the Gearhead Quiz, a 20 part brain tickler resplendant with Norton shop tools, nuclear power plant fittings and milking machine oil. Pictures here as available. Big thanks to our hosts, and those generous folks who provided doorprizes entertainment (intentional or not....) and edibles. If you need graphics done, call Logan! the Dictator F. L.

Well, the party for this year was again at TrackStar on the 20th of January. Again, it was a fridgid night, but with the warmth eminating from all those gearheads we had a super time. We had the usual variety of great food, supplemented by victuals and potables from the Motor Oil Cafe'. We had a great audio-visual motorcycle extravaganza and held the first ever TCNOC "TT" on the virtual reality motorcycle race at the Cafe'. We gave away trophies generously donated by Marty Mataya from his private collection. We gave away some pictures and posters, and a pair of real cool scissors..... People brought show and tell. The showroom was open, and afterwards we had to mop up all the drool.....Try to come next year! Here are some pics of the gang:

Too Late, It's Over!
Well, all who came had a great time. Must have been about 100 people. Had Harvey's famous deviled eggs, two kinds of bean dips, hummus, chips-chips-chips, a better class of beverage, chocolate chip cookies, pizza-pizza-pizza, gut-bombs etc. Assorted bikes old and new were present in the shops and on the show-floor. Harvey demonstrated his ram-jet to the delight of the crowd. Dan brought his portable gas-powered vibrator. We had videos of british three-wheel kit cars, the TT, Bonneville, and the Britton racer. Various factions plotted their course for the remainder of the winter. No-one got out of hand. I didn't check the neighborhood for yellow snow..... Thanks again to Marty Mataya and Trackstar for the marvelous venue. Spend some money there....They are on our side!
